Castelgandolfo is easy to get to by car (5 minutes) or train or on foot (15 minutes). The small town is medieval and the Pope’s gardens are certainly worth a visit. You will also find restaurants with local food and view is fantastic.
The lake is minutes away from the city and all the way down. Water is clean and ideal for a swim and you can also rent a canoe or a boat. It is also possible to practise tennis in the nearby tennis club and walk or run all around the lake too.
